There is a feature that the LMS players can be announced on the local network for everyone with Spotify, without the need of switching acounts. That feature do only work on a few platforms, @mherger explained the limitation a while back, something about a service being available to announce the players.
The problem is mostly spotty conflicting with avahi (if it is running) this has nothing to do with QLMS.
