My convention has been to stick with the name on the physical CD so there is a complete cross section of naming ... CD1, CD2, Disc 1, Disc 2, Volume 1, Volume 2 , etc. etc. I use mp3tag for tagging which contains a field identified as "Discnumber". In over 90% of my multi disc sets that label is blank for all discs within the set. In another 9.9% all discs in the set are identified in the "Discnumber" field as 1. Full disclosure - I've never paid much attention to this tag in the past - whatever came from the original rip from Exact Audio Copy has remained. This Moody Blues set was the only case in my library where the "Discnumber" label was 1 for CD1 and 2 for CD2 and was the only case where the (Disc 2 of 2) was appended. I cleared that field for both discs in mp3tag and rescanned and problem solved. What remains mysterious to me is why CD1 did not append (Disc 1 of 2) to its name in LMS with the original tags. Anyway, this issue clearly has nothing to do with OMSI ... it's in the tags.
