A bit error (e.g. data lost/duplicated/junk inserted somewhere) make discordant sound where sound is totally unlike the rest of of audio on either side of "error". If error is once off - next frame means audio should return to normal. If output audio is similar to "correct audio" but distorted in some way and does not return to normal - except for the fact it happens on lots of player - I would have assumed it is audio hardware. Very strange. TCP Network connection means data is error free when received by player. Decoder will also be error free. This means problem is likely to be in ALSA or audio driver. There are a few audio hardware chipsets - VT82xx series is quite common but I think a bit old - I would have expected other user reports if this was a ALSA/driver error. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113843 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
