Thanks so much, Phillipe! This should at least give me a better understanding and a good start. The reason I might switch to LMS permanently is that Universal Media Server doesn't have a great web app, and no native iOS control app (other than mconnect, which is gliitchy). Otherwise, UMS served my purpose. Plex, didn't. So...if I understand correctly, if I wasn't going to use the library organization or remote app element of LMS, then Andy's plugin would basically give me similar functionality to UMS, while yours will give me enhanced functionality (still hindered my DLNA).
