None of your five wired / networked computers are in your den?  If so,
just hard wire the SB3 into that computer or ad a $10.00 4 port hub if
needed.

I can understand your concerns about WiFi security, but some basic WiFi
router security will suffice.  

-  router MAC filtering
-  router WPA encryption
-  router SSID broadcast turned OFF
-  router Firewall ON
-  change router SSID & admin password
-  turn off WiFi when not listening to music (for the really paranoid)

Nothing is 100% "secure" and bulletproof, but the above basic router
security features make your network safer than your front door.      :)
