Squeezebox assumes no such thing. As radish pointed out in response to
your original post, you can connect the SB via ethernet, just like the
computers on your LAN. And as funkstar explained, the SB is not a
wireless sound card that will give you "control of my computer's MP3
player from another room". Instead the SB would control the _server_
software (slimserver/SqueezeCenter) running on one of your computers.
Not your MP3 client software.

Check out the Beginner's Guide at wiki.slimdevices.com -- it will
probably clear up some of your misconceptions so that you can be sure
whether or not SB fits your dream.
