I have been experiencing some issues with BBC connections. One of my two Squeezebox's did connect a couple of times to BBC radio 2, 4 and 7 and then refused to connect again, it displays 'Timed out waiting for data' the other one right out of the box refused to connect at all. The Squeezebox sometimes shows 'connecting' and then scrolls as if playing the station, it is also streaming data but gives no output. The SqueezeCentre will display 'now playing' and also no output. I could, at first select stations on the Squeezecentre and they would play no problem, now that ability died too! I have been unable to recreate the exact circumstances and nothing has changed on the server PC. Other stations (non BBC) all seem to work OK. I was wondering if my firewall and proxy could be at fault so I gave the Squeezeboxes full proxy bypass to no avail. I am going to install AlienBBC to see if that helps. Certainly the thread indicates similar behaviour but not the same symtoms. Any pointers as to how to resolve this will be most welcome.
