I've gone through Slim Devices customer support and netgear technical support to no avail, so I'll see if someone in the community can help me.
I've got a wired netgear router RP614v4 with firmware 1.0.5_4.23. The router works fine in all respects, but for some reason will not allow either of my SB3 (I have 2) to connect to SN. My PC can connect to SN with softsqueeze, and SC7.2 works great streaming internet radio. For some reason, the router seems to conflict with the SB3 in some unknown way. I've put the SB3 in the DMZ, I've forwarded ports (3483 and 9000), I've changed MTU from 1500 to 1458, I've tried all sorts of DNS and fixed IP/DHCP configs, and I've reset the router... If I connect the SB3 directly to the cable modem, it works, so my ISP (comcast) is not the problem. Any network guru know why the router would block the SB3 and how to get around it? -- hoosier ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hoosier's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13116 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54215 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
