I've been having these problems as well. When I listen to Rhapsody
through my computer it works much better, but not perfectly.
Periodically it will pause for a long period (30 seconds, or a minute
or so) and then continue where it left off. I suspect the reason it
works better "locally" than through the SB is because of the buffering.
The SB, being a network creature, will time out eventually. The Rhapsody
application will not, or at least has much more patience. Also, the
Rhapsody app probably buffers farther ahead than the network devices
do, which would mask server pauses. Further, if you're listening to
tracks that you listen to frequently, the Rhapsody app is probably
playing it from the local buffer on your hard drive, "radfile.rcf",
which on my machine is currently over a gig. I don't know if this
happens when you're listening through SB (or Sonos...), but I doubt it.
It appears that SB is just the canary in the coalmine for Rhapsody, as
it seems more susceptible to less than optimal streaming performance.
Rhapsody had better get their act together and fix their servers or
they're going to lose a lot of customers to some other subscription
service. (Anybody know of any good ones out there yet?)
