Hi,
No doubt that by the time you got scale size sand it would be more like talc!
Probably wouldn't flow in a scale sander pipe either. If it were hard silica 
sand of the proper size, I think it would be very abrasive to journals, 
bearings, etc.
I'm going to try traction tires.
