I have just fitted the above CD RW as a direct replacement for the
standard CD ROM on my Starmax 4000/160 (upgraded hard disk 20.4GB and
96MB RAM). I just transferred all the leads over.
The device is not recognised. Apple System Profiler gives it the same
address as the hard drive, that is 0. I have it on the MASTER setting so
I tried SLAVE and lost the monitor! Back to master and the monitor
worked.
I intend using Toast 3.5.7 and I have the download the SCSI firmware
flash. Any ideas?
