It's been a while since I've used my Max -- in part for the very
reason you describe. I too have an iX micro card; I seem to recall
being able to reduce the amount of freezing when I discovered some
extension redundancy for the video. However, it never went away.
I have a pet theory, though, since many of the problems I had were
often type 2 crashes, etc. I had three different ram sticks, from 3
separate purchases. I believe that there was a slight memory
incompatibility, or perhaps one stick was inconsistent -- though not
enough to be detected by diagnostic software. Warning: I know less
nothing about the engineering that makes a computer tick; it's just
an idea.
Cheers,
Erik
