(How do you increase RAM to the Finder? other than adding RAM?)
Anyway, do you have Virtual Memory enabled? I know it's not desirable but may be
necessary to keep the apps you have open going. Photoshop is one though that
really does not like VM. When I used my SM for Photoshop I made a separate
Extension Set with VM off and pared down extensions that would disable some
functions but used less system memory. When I net surfed and wrote and listened
to music I had a more "normal" set of extensions with VM on and cranked up.
Do you have some software like Norton you can run and look for problems and then
defrag the hard drive? That could help also. George
