Do you have scsi devices attached?  Did you add a new extension or 
device?  Unplug your zip, scanner, printer, etc.,  and try to start 
up the unit with extensions off.  Put in a system CD in your CD drive 
so it can boot from there.

I've had an "alien" extension be the culprit-- it was incompatible 
with the operating system I put it on.
