Have you tried booting up from a CD w/ mac OS on it? It sounds like your HD
isnt sending the info to the processor (bad Hard Drive), or the processor
isnt working- dead processor chip would be another possibility. If it was
software problem you should get a sad mac icon, so it sounds like hardware.
Booting up from a CD might differentiate where the problem is.
Also, if you havent done so, make sure the Hd cable hasn't come
disconnected.
