FYI: After considerable reconfigurations and hassle I finally gave up on the SIIG UltraATA 133/100 Pro card for my StarMax. I had Finder freezing problems. OWC could give little support, the SIIG folks were useless. The XLR8 folks were nice & I tried a newer accelerator driver, with no help.
So OWC allowed a trade-in upgrade to a Sonnet Tempo ATA/100 PCI card & it works absolutely perfect. 100% plug & play, at this point (I'd already reformatted my two Maxtor HD's).
