Funny, the reason is the opposite. A SCSI CDR is maybe $89 instead of $49, 
but IDE hard drives are like $89 vs SCSI $189. If you use a SCSI CDR, then 
you can use 2 cheap IDE hard drives.

IDE is MUCH more processor intensive, uses cpu more, than scsi, so I can 
see how a lot of early CDR had troubles, or might of had troubles, but a 
modern burn proof cdr is MUCH less sensitive.
