I've definitely experienced this one, and sometimes depending on 
extensions, it's faster. I'm trying to narrow it down between the 
software update extensions and the version of carbon lib I have at the 
time. I'm thinking that carbon lib 1.5 is the culprit, because I didn't 
notice it with 1.4 or 1.1.1....but just guessing.
