Cleared out the keychain anyhows, though I know the cause of the delay now
(as I've said). I did find a Servers folder, though I have no clue what it
does - it's not Recent Servers, which is kept empty (I never use recent
files/servers/apps).

I've taken a lot of stuff out of the Apple menu (all the big stuff), and
it's surprising how long it takes just to process those. Oh well.
