New World Macs (B&W and later) have at least a 100Mhz system bus. They
stayed that way until fairly recently.

"Gossamer" Macs have a few issues that New World Macs don't concerning
OS X as well. 

I think Macs are a bit like Porsches. The old ones are a blast, but for
a daily driver aim for the latest one you can afford, then spend a
little more.
