Well, Kurt.......

No easy answers sometimes ..........

If we assume (for arguments sake) that your video circuit on the MB isn't
fried (no evidence one way or the other), then some other weirdness is
preventing you from your normal boot sequence.

Turning off the power and pressing the CUDA button for a few seconds will
ensure your bootup sequence isn't garbled. Try to boot.

If no go, then remove any external SCSI devices (if you have any).

If still no luck, then I'd disconnect (remove) any PCI cards that you may
have in your system, then try again.

Then remove internal SCSI devices.

At this point, all you've got is your MB, power supply and 1 HD.  Yes?

Is it still failing to boot up?

If so, reconnect the CD-ROM (if it was disconnected) and try the Nortons CD
again as the boot device.

If you still cannot boot, things are looking grim....... but let's deal with
that when the time comes.
