I've seen and heard comments before along the lines of 'If only Stellarium could present more information like CDC or Starry Night....' so I suspect this will be a welcome enhancement although no doubt a lot of work...
A link to Wikipedia sounds like a good idea but, of course, presumes an Internet link (thinking here about out in the enthusiast in the field/back garden/at the telescope use) so maybe a yes but perhaps as an 'additional info' link rather than substituting for enhancing the information presented within Stellarium.
