It shouldn't, I've never encountered a such problem with AVM Suite and
my ZyXEL Elite 2864.  Maybe it could be the way STFax does the init of
the modem...

I'm sure my modem signals ALL the rings: it's not my modem's fault. :(

Yes, I just can't see what's the problem here.  I'll perform other tests

There is a way to make the modem reporting hangup more quickly? What
parameters should I check in the manual?
