    From what I can gather, your modem will have a large part to play in
this. Some give a higher quality sound output than others. What system have
you got BTW?

    Isn't this something to do with DROP_DTR and forcing the hangup in the
settings?   
    Erm, I've never encountered this one - but that is because I haven't
been able to get my voicemail WORKING!!!! Maybe you or one of the others
could mail me and help me out here?!! I think it is probably something I'm
doing wrong - my system works great. I can dial out, and I can receive
calls, but I can't get the asnwermachine function to work. Yet. So can
somebody PLEASE HELP??!!!!
