no he's got it right. It's actually the DHCP client ID and it's not used by
Shaw@Home anymore really, but the still assign one. I don't know about
Rogers@Home. 

Note: I've not had problems with Storm and Shaw@Home here in Victoria. I
suspect it is as Todd mentioned, a Driver issue.
