Here's part of the deal:-)

Your NIC's are recognized .-assumming you made a typo ,never seen
Ath as interfaces ,eth sounds more like it.

Now SAS is just an interface to classic
linux tools altough with the network is somehow weird. In the beta is
was a bug that wouldn't bring up a dhcp controlled interface unless
you started SAS everytime and push up.Don't know if it was fixed.
Anyway you have 2 options here.
Start SAS ,launch the network module ,add the desired interface for
Rogers, let's say eth0 ,type in the hostname the cr123456a ,check
enable at boot and click up .,open a console and type ifconfig .You
should see eth0 with an IP .....
If this doesn't work ,switch the cables between NIC's .Since both NIC's
are the same there is no way to tell which one is initialized first. In
theory it should be the one with a lower PCI slot number.
Repeat the process. If still doesn't work it may be because of pump.
This is the dhcp client used by Storm. man pump for details
I did have problems with pump and rogers but this was more than a year
ago
when I was using Rogers(I'm on DSL now so don't know if the new pump
works better ) .If pump doesn;t do it for you then login as root in a
console and type

apt-get install dhcpcd
dpkg --purge pump

Check your /etc/apt/sources.list for the proper line to use the cd
You can accomplish the same thing with SPM.In the worst case here is
the link
 http://packages.debian.org/stable/net/dhcpcd.html
As to bypass SAS and deal directly with dhcpcd you have examples on my
webpage (see sig) .Check the potato link for Stormix hail.
dhcpcd always worked for me.

Note. All configuration changes have to be done as root and I use for
console editing mc (midnight commander) a norton commander clone. You
can use what you like obviously.:-)
