That I understand. I've been using it for 9 months now.
I do believe if you add to your sources.list the Corel sites (being
that it, too, is debian based), there is a .deb for WP8 "light". But
then, I may be wrong. I don't use WordPerfect or Star Office.
I guess I didn't explain it clearly, then. But you are right in that, if it
ain't in .deb form and it's not on a site/tree useable by apt, then
you can't apt-get it.
Then again, since apt is being developed to work with .rpms, too,
that .deb-dependency may not be the case for long.
I've tried it with Conectiva 6.0 and it works pretty well if you have an
rpm-based system -- still some wrinkles, though. (No surprise
there.)
