Reboot the box....if a lilo promt shows up press <TAB> to see your options
(in case the guy has changed the boot label for linux....usually LILO
installs linux with a label of linux).
Assuming he has left the label as linux, at the boot prompt, type "linux
single" or "linux 1" that will boot the system to runlevel 1 (single user)
and dosn't ask for a password
As has been mentioned by others, I'd be very inclined to do a fair bit of
package verification once I was there :)
