Huh, what are OpenSolaris users doing? I thought that OpenSolaris does
not include CDE, or I am wrong?
The OpenSolaris Developer Preview does not include CDE, but it's just a
prototype test release at this point, which can't even run some important
desktop apps like StarOffice or OpenOffice, so there aren't many users
yet, and I doubt any are running Sun Ray.
CDE is in the process of being pulled out of the "Nevada" code base,
which is currently used for Solaris Express releases, and it will
most likely not be in the release of Solaris that comes after Solaris 10
(which we're not allowed to call Solaris 11 yet, just in case they
pick a different name), so gdm on Solaris will have to be supported by
Sun Ray when those releases are supported, but I don't know when that will be.
