If you're concerned about resource usage (including time needed for
server to do needless context-switching between multiple processes),
I wonder if it would make sense to fire up a VM or a few, being part
of the SRSS server group, and run the banners as slow as it happens
to be; but "utswitch" to actual servers for non-MAC tokens?

I think AMGH examples did something like that... several FOGs for the
several roles (like catch initial login, select the "processing" FOG
based on any criteria, do a redirect to it)...
