Along those lines, check that the power supply connector with the orange
and black wires is securely attached. That's the connector that is in
front of the little three pin connector on the motherboard. If that one is
loose, everything will power up except the CPU--unless you're using a
really old CPU. I had a machien that puzzled me for months because of
that. It would only work with a 150 MHz 604 or earlier.
Failing that, bad power supply or bad motherboard are the most likely, if
you get no bong or other speaker sound at start up.
