I'm not a pro here but here are some other ideas for you... (1) How about a disk utility ? like Norton Utilities or HD Speed Tools...you could start from that maybe & rule out a bad HD. (2) possibly check the SCSI chain assignments... long shot but couldn't there be a ID conflict? (3) Is there a RAM issue?
Just some info - I had problems with burned CD's in my S900 - wouldn't start from a burned CD - but would read fine w/the HD as start up drive (a CD driver extention apparently was the problem there). > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Reply-To: SuperMacs List <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Mon, 20 Oct 2003 11:30:39 -0500 > To: SuperMacs List <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: [SM] J-700 > > SuperMac-kers, > I'm new to the list, so I thought I'd run this past the collective > genius.
