I am having all kinds of trouble installing Panther on my S900. I can boot up from the install disc using XPost and I can start the installation but it stops at various stages, like 98% complete, 71% complete and so on. It gives a message at start-up that the machine number is incorrect, the video card is too old and other things. I tried installing Jaguar on the same partition and had no problem. Then I thought I could upgrade Jaguar to Panther but it still wouldn't work. The drive is a 40 G Maxtor and doesn't appear to have any problems. Any ideas as to what I can do to get it to work?
Many Thanks.
Jacqueline
