I think mid-December. Did you try just switching back to SM 2.21? That
works according to bug report comments.
the master bug report is;

which shows links to all the duplicate bugs. They all say, basically,
"I updated to SM 2.22, and now when I am using my favorite XYZ software
and I try the magic send mail function from XYZ, SM doesn't
correctly/automatically respond/activate like it used to."
