Bad idea. If you do that, stable users will start to complain about inaccessible unstable sites and vice versa. You could release the sources and let someone else maintain the spider/index site for stable.
... and that's the reason why people shouldn't switch to unstable, nor publish lots of content there that's not published on stable.
There's no point in claiming "unstable is better" and telling people to use it instead since the major reason why it IS faster is that it's a smaller network.
