Hi Otis,
I have limited knowledge in this area, but I think ebase.102 *has* to be set for
multi-user otherwise it won't work. I had similar problems when I was first
trying to get ebase to network. I couldn't change ebase.100 to muti-user (we're using
version 1.0). Someone had to email me a copy of ebase.100 that was set to
multi-user. I installed it over the existing ebase.100 and it worked.
FWIW: Our Win98 ebase "server" was very unstable until we upgraded it from 64 MB RAM
to 256 MB 3 months ago. Now it's rock solid; no crashes for 3 months with
an average of 4 simultaneous ebase users logged in.
