The main focus of inSONIC2015 is a critical reflection on aesthetic concepts of spatial audio in sound, music and sound-art. inSONIC2015 is hosted by ZKM and HfG and is part of the Globale 2015. There will be two conference and symposium days combined with concerts and installations. The main event is enhanced by a program of workshops, demonstrations and tutorials taking place in the preceding days. inSONIC2015 is organized in the framework of the BWS plus-Project „Studynetwork Space-Media-Sound“. BWS plus is part of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM for university students, a program of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung. <http://www.bwstiftung.de/startseite/> CALL FOR PARTICIPATION / CALL FOR WORKS ========================================= inSONIC015 calls for academic and non academic contributrions and works which will be reviewed by panels. We invite submission in the following categories: Papers and Posters Workshops and Tutorials/Demonstrations Compositions and Performances Installations +CALL FOR PAPERS AND POSTERS Written contributions should focus on the aesthetics and musical aspects of: sounding objects in space motion and gesture in space application of novel spatialsation techniques for composition music and improvisation interaction and control of sound and media in space benefits of spatial audio for electronic and acoustic sound and music developments in space simulating techniques such as WFS, HOA and combined systems non conventional speakers setups and diffusion techniques Templates for paper and poster proposals wil be available on the submission site. +CALL FOR COMPOSITIONS AND PERFORMANCES Contributions in music and sound should have a focus on: multichannel compositions music for a spherical speaker setup (Klangdome 43 speakers) music for a linear Wave Field Synthesis system (128 speakers) music for a mixed installation setup (The Morning Line) mixed media works with audio requirements according to the above system Artists of selected works will be invited for oral presentation or round table discussions.
