VFAT, FAT32 (actually using VFAT), HPFS, NTFS etx2, yeah, only FAT has a
small limitation, the MAC has 32 or something like that for the names.
VFAT can't have 254 chars in a file name, the directory length can only be 254
But *all* computer systems can read FAT, so it's the most usefull for the
information exchange. Naming conversions should therefor always be 8.3 in
size.

Yeah, 8 is enough for anyone, but the thing that botherd me the most was
people that named files like file.my1 file.my2 or something equaly stupid.
Now they don't do that anymore, but the LFN file names are random so they
are not that good looking if you got enough starting with the same (all my
Beatles CDs was put as MP3 on one CD, and I just can see they are Beatles
from the starting BE, the rest is a random hexadecimal number.)

ZIP files are really bothering me, restarting the PC just to unpack a file
is really anoying.
Often the LFN file names are *less* describtive than the normal since
people don't think before they save the file(s).

Any *true* Windows 95 program should check the registry to see if Program
or "Program Files" should be used (or whatever there can be), a interesting
side effect of the Swedish translation seems to be that the directory has
gotten a "R" as attrib.
"Eight characthers should be enough for anyone!"
