Okay, I'm happy to disable com2 and use that for the modem, but I can't
find the setting in bios, would there be one on the controller card that
contains the serial ports, or elsewhere? Might it be referenced with an
unfamiliar term?
There are no ports directly off of the motherboard, both are off the
controller card, would it be enough to unplug the cable for com2?
Controller has jumper set: 3 pins, all but one jumper on upper set of pins
(looking with card connectors down), labled j01 through j10 and it is j4
which is on the lower row of pins.
Will research the stickered number, FW1 120252, but not sure if that's the
fcc since it's on a sticker, not indelibly stamped on the board. I will go
examine this today, perhaps the secret is hidden in that row of jumpers.
