I managed tonite to download all kinds of gnomeish stuff for the
upgrade. I had some serious worry points with the self-compiled
gtk/glib stuff. In fact, the rpms failed finding the libs. I had only
three applications break because they were looking for libs from an
earlier compilation. I got these sorted out tonite and have a working
gnome 1.0.1 system basically intact. I managed to get two of the three
apps working. If I want balsa I will have to recompile it appears.
So thats my story and Im stuck with it. This is definitely one of those
situations where I append a YMMV after the success.
