What I did to get 2.2.2 running:
- started with a plain SuSE 6.0
- configure (make config), compile, install, run lilo
- changed two lines in /etc/conf.modules:
one for af_packet (was: af_package), for tcpdump to work
the other one for the sound card (which wasn't supported by 2.0)
- deleted entries for routes from /etc/route.conf, because 2.2 sets up
routes automagically (for the networks directly on an interface)
(doesn't hurt if you don't do this, you just have two entries insetad of
one for (some, depends on configuration) routes
- reboot
Some minor stuff might not work afterwards, like kpm (KDE graphical
'top').
