All right then. Sometimes, one misses some important points. I didn�t
install egcs, because I use the c-compiler only for compiling kernels.
Some packages (like FORTRAN) preselected egcs again. Since I am planing
to move to 2.2.2 (System restored after my big crash) this makes things
*much* easier.
