Issue a "cat /proc/interrupts" command and look at the irq listings.
It will tell you what irq's your box is using. Your modem may be using
TWO irq, one at 4 and perhaps the other at 9 or 10. You may have to
reassign some irq's. (Change jumpers on your modem card, your printer
card, etc., to jocky your irq assignments around till you get a pattern
that works.
