I have an ATI mach 64VT integrated with my motherboard, and that appears
to work perfectly with the mach64 server, including sizing the screen.

On the subject of sax - I haven't found it as usefull as XF86Config -
mainly because it won't help you setup the more obscure resolutions such
as 300x200, and only sticks to the more usual 640x480 and 800x600, etc.
I need the lower resolutions for running snes9x.

At the risk of saying something really obvious, have you checked the
manual settings for your monitor, such as the vertical and horizontal
controls? The reason I ask, is that if you're reaching limits with
software tuning of the screen size, that may be because of a limit being
imposed by the hardware setting of the monitor itself.

Just a thought.
