E85 is 93% the energy of gasoline (80460 btu/gallon, vs. 87000 btu/gallon)
so you will need about 13:1 vs 14:1 a/f. make sure you have ethanol rated
hoses and seals.

9:1 a/f is for neat ethanol (E100)

I would suggest increasing compression (shave the heads, or thinner head
gasket), and adjusting the timing.
