There are some "stable" changes currently under review, which are relatively trivial and implement suggesstions by Mateusz. It should be easy to merge which any of the other approaches. I tried to implement local instead of global assumptions (which are not really useable), it works for Symbol() but not for symbols() and vars(). This is the unstable branch.
