I think I actually ended up rewriting this but for a different method of
storage (BigInts). I'll see if I can adapt the code to be a bit more Synapse
like and submit it as a patch. Can't say for sure if it's possible, but will
take a look.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I usually try to keep my expectations very low and
am rarely disappointed :o)

I'll try to cobble together a test app that people can play with. MG-Soft
provide a public server that you can test against (see previous post).

I haven't done too much testing yet as I only just got the SHA1
authentication working today. I'll let you know what I know when I post the
test app.
