Hi +, Thanks Emmanuel for clarifying few points: we mentors are here indeed to avoid the project falls in obscure paths, not for pointing what we would have eventually done wrong.
@Grosso the process you described works for OpenSource projects: share the code, share the wiki, share the issue tracker, make the users community aware of the roadmap, evaluate including contributions (depending on the needs). Anyway, this is an "Alfresco alike model" where only the source is Open but not the development. It is not clear for users how to get more familiar with the project in order they can follow the evolution user -> contributor -> committer -> PMC member -> Chair For example, it is *good* that issues are mailed to dev@, but issues are just small windows to see how the project house is inside, we need to keep doors open so people can get in (and let them out, unfortunately this often happens). Concluding, my original message is just for spurring living a more wide community life ;) best, -Simo http://people.apache.org/~simonetripodi/ http://simonetripodi.livejournal.com/ http://twitter.com/simonetripodi http://www.99soft.org/ 2012/3/2 Francesco Chicchiriccò <[email protected]>: > On 02/03/2012 12:33, Nicola Scendoni wrote: >> [...] >> Thanks Simone and Emmanuel for proposing this topic.
