274145 has the feed http://blog.websurf.ro/rss2.xml . That file
doesn't actually exist since I upgraded WordPress; instead, Apache is
set to redirect requests to this file to
http://blog.websurf.ro/wp-rss2.php . The connection log shows the
syndic8 spider requesting rss2.xml, getting the 301 "Permanent
redirect" message, requesting wp-rss2.php file as instructed by the
redirecter which ends with 200. From what has been detailed so far, it
does sound like the parser doesn't ignore the redirect message itself.
The problem can be easily bypassed by changing the feed URL from
rss2.xml to wp-rss2.php . But others may run into it again, so fixing
the parser would be better.
Thanks for investigating, hopefully the fix won't be a PITA.
