I sometimes wish I would know more about this stuff... I found this: http://netatalk.sourceforge.net/ But I really don't know what to do with the resulting folder. There is an icon that is called 'compile' and there is also an icon called 'install' but nothing happens when I click on them. O things are so much simpler with system 6...
On most systems you compile netatalk to suit the machine, then install, cant help you much with Beta X sorry, works very well with any other flavor of nix I've tried. Try reading the install file which is usually the compile instuctions on other nix systems.
The other point about netatalk is is it will share via tcp or normal appletalk which is very handy for those of us with older macs.
Well there's no problems with transfers between win3.11 and XP so I would say there will be a way around the sys6 - OSX problem, good luck you may need the dev disc though, havent seen it so dont really know.
